If the Greeks decided to provide you with a fresh and healthy meal, they would have created Greek Street Grill. This restaurant has some of the freshest salads and meat choices in Riverside.
Where most Mediterranean food is delicious but more then plentiful, I feel that Greek Street Grill is just perfectly portioned to provide you a good balance of carbs and protein. The kabobs are grilled to perfection and the gyro meat is full of flavors, the salad is fresh and delicious while the rice is moist and just the right amount. Can't really complain about the food at Greek Street Grill.
The staff is friendly and tends to be on the younger side, and if you have a chance to interact with the owner, he is a very friendly person! The tables are the only complaint at Greek Street Grill. They will fill up quickly during lunch so be sure to schedule your visit around this crowd. Because it's so clean and air conditioned I wanna pretend that people love to stay and socialize afterwards, I know I do.
Definitely a worthwhile gem, check out Greek Street Grill if you are on the West side of Riverside, nestled in the Ralph's Shopping Mall off La Sierra Avenue! -

Good food, great service, overall a nice place to grab a quick bite to eat!
My girlfriend and I are familiar with Riverside due to the fact that we met at UCR. We weren't familiar with the surrounding area, the farther you get away from the university, though. So good thing I saved this restaurant if we were ever passing by the area again!
Food: The food came out extremely quickly. We ordered, I grabbed some water, washed my hands, came out, and within minutes, the food was already ready for the both of us. We both ordered the combo dinner plates. She got the beef with gyro, fries, and soup and I got the chicken with the gyro, rice, and salad. The beef was a little overcooked, had a rubbery texture. Gyro meat was the highlight of the combo plate! Seasoned well and definitely served a lot on my plate. Didn't try the fries. Soup tasted like canned chicken noodle soup. Chicken skewers were incredibly dry - good thing I had the tzatziki sauce to balance the fat to protein ratio. Rice was made well and the salad had a lot of dressing and feta cheese. Both plates came with peta bread. They don't make it in house but you can never go wrong with pre-packaged! I think the thing that tied everything together was the tzatziki sauce. Cucumber yogurt is the bee's knees, especially paired well with the gyro meat!
Service: Service was quick and friendly. Our food came out quickly and ordered food was extremely easy. No complaints here!
Overall, we're definitely glad we came by here. Both my girlfriend and I were full and it was very affordable for the both of us. Food can be worked on though, as there's always room for improvement. -

I've been really wanting to try this place due to all of the good reviews, but I was unfortunately disappointed with my experience.
To begin, when my boyfriend and I arrived, we waited at the counter for about five minutes while the cashier continued to gossip with another coworker before finally greeting us. After we ordered our food, we went to find a seat, and within literally three minutes of placing our order, our food was on our table. I ordered a steak pita wrap, and my boyfriend ordered the combo dinner plate (steak/chicken souvlaki).
It was clear that the meat was not cooked fresh. The meat was not hot, and it was dry and overcooked. The food overall lacked any flavor, however, the tzatziki sauce was very good, and I did enjoy the side salad.
I wish my experience there had been better, but I don't see myself recommending this place as a good quality Greek restaurant. -

My son and I ate here today, 10/6/19, for the first time and we were both very impressed. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We had pita and tzatziki, the lemon-chicken soup, and we each had a pita "sandwich": one steak and one grilled shrimp. It was all very good. (The pita bread was especially good, the shrimp and steak were cooked perfectly, and their French fries were amazing).
We will definitely be back.
